#TELL2TOO · BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Breast cancer will claim the lives of about 45,000 women and men this year in the US alone, and about 700,000 worldwide.
That's right. Both women & men. About 287,850 women will be diagnosed, but men have a higher mortality rate, partly because many don't think it can happen to them.
About 63% of cases are caught at the localized stage, where the five-year survival rate is 99%. Early detection saves lives!

That’s why we created this initiative. Breast cancer has touched our lives personally; we’ve lost loved ones to it. In their honor, Boca Bearings has donated more than $18,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and we remain committed to raising awareness and supporting early detection.

This year, every order of $50 or more will include a complimentary BCAM hat — our way of turning everyday purchases into a visible symbol of support and solidarity for everyone affected by this disease.
We do this in honor of our co-founder, Michele Baum, whose courage and spirit continue to inspire everything we do. Michele's legacy lives on through this campaign and through every hat that makes its way into our community.
Breast cancer doesn't only affect women — men are diagnosed too, and awareness for both is at the heart of this initiative. By wearing your BCAM hat, you help spark conversations about early detection and remind those around you that checking in on your health matters, regardless of gender. Thank you for your support.
